What we check

Class 1 covers motorcycles up to 200cc (and some three-wheelers), while Class 2 covers everything over 200cc, including sidecar outfits. We test both, so it’s not something you need to worry about — just bring your bike in and we’ll apply the correct test.

Yes — you can test up to a month (minus a day) before your current MOT expires, and you’ll keep the same renewal date going forward rather than losing those days.
If your bike fails and you leave it with us for repairs, we’ll usually retest it free of charge. If you take it away and bring it back within 10 working days, a partial retest (covering just the failed items) normally applies.
Just the bike and the key — you don’t need to bring the V5C logbook or a paper MOT certificate, though it helps if you know your registration number when you book.
You can’t legally ride the bike on the road (other than to a pre-booked MOT appointment) once it’s expired, so it’s best to get it booked in as soon as possible. We’ll always try to fit you in quickly.
