Your motorcycle requires its first MOT when it reaches three years from the date of first registration. After that, it must be tested every 12 months to ensure it remains safe and roadworthy. Keeping your MOT up to date isn’t just a legal requirement — it’s also the best way to catch potential issues early and keep your bike performing at its best.

Yes — if your motorcycle doesn’t pass its MOT, there’s no need to worry. Our experienced technicians can carry out most repairs and adjustments in-house, often on the same day. Once the necessary work is completed, we’ll perform a free retest to make sure everything meets DVSA standards. Our goal is to get you back on the road safely and with as little hassle as possible.
You can only ride your motorcycle without a valid MOT if you’re travelling to a pre-booked MOT test or to and from a repair appointment to fix issues identified during a test. Riding without a valid MOT at any other time is illegal and could result in fines, penalty points, and your insurance becoming invalid.
